Iain Dowie believes Palace still have room for improvement despite their 4-1 drubbing of Coventry.

Goals from Darren Ward, Clinton Morrison, Ben Watson and Jon Macken secured Palace's second successive away win against a City side that finished with 10 men after Claus Jorgensen was dismissed late in the game.

But Dowie is adament his side will get even better once they have had time to gel.

He said: "No disrespect to Coventry but I think there is still a little bit more to come from my team.

"In the last two games we have shown what we are capable of doing, but we still have a bit to go as it takes time, particularly when you are bedding new players into the squad.

"It might not have been a 4-1 game but we created lots of chances in both halves and we defended strongly with both Ward and Fitz Hall in colossal form.

"I wasn't convinced about the result until we got the third goal though. It was a great build up and I counted 12 passes and it was nice to see a midfielder in there to score.

"I don't think many sides will get two goals back on us because we have got so much ammunition to hit them on the break."
