Crystal Palace lost 1-0 at the hands of Cardiff City at Ninian Park.
The Welsh club opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a goal from Michael Ricketts.
Darren Purse hit a long ball forward to Cameron Jerome on the right side and his shot was parried by Gabor Kiraly. But as the keeper fell, the ball squirmed out of his hands and Ricketts converted.
Palace: Kiraly, Butterfield, Fitz Hall, Ward, Borrowdale (Hudson 88), Watson, Riihilahti (McAnuff 59), Hughes, Soares, Macken (Andrews 76), Morrison.
