Selhurst Park
Back from beautifully tourist-free Crete, Jamesey returns to the fray, although his head is still hurting from those free flasks of raki at the end of every dinner in Hania...
I didn't expect to get much joy at Highbury on Monday (Feb 14), just as I didn't expect to get a lot of change out of our away game at Old Trafford just before Christmas.
And here we go... whether not expecting much, or getting five goals thumped past us in both instances are compatible, I don't know.
At the risk of becoming boring, I will repeat again... I didn't expect to be in the Premiership, so it is an unexpected pleasure to be there, and the thumpings and the occasional (so far) victories, are all part of the bitter-sweet feeling.
Can I also say at this point, although I am sure Penge and Guntri will put me right if they disagree, that this website is not totally in existence for people banging on about their personal point of view on the message boards.
Literally thousands of Palace browsers click on to the main page and read the latest news and feature bulletins and many other items on the menu... supporter reactions are a vital ingredient but not the sole reason for the website.
Having reached that point, can I say that the overall themes of the relatively small percentage of regular posters seem to be split into a Great Divide.
Do we uncritically back our team regardless of results and tactics or do we have a bit of a go when we feel that things are being handled in the wrong way.
What a lot of ground that covers and unfortunately we seem to have two sides who don't tolerate the other's point of view.
