Palace reserves move to second in the Premiership Reserve League South after a 1-1 draw at home to Spurs.

The Eagles dominated the game and young wingers Tyrone Berry and Ryan Hall impressed the Selhurst Park crowd.

Hall had the first chance of the night, firing over the bar, then later forcing Spurs keeper Nicholas Eyre into a good save.

Opposite number Julian Speroni then denied Marcel McKie and Simon Davies with good stops.

Berry showed good touches when he came on as a second half sub for Sandor Torghelle and Academy team-mate Hall forced Eyre into action.

Against the run of play, Spurs took the lead from the penalty spot. Danny Butterfield was adjudged to have fouled David Limbersky as the pair battled for the ball in the box. Lee Barnard put away the spot-kick.

Eight minutes later, Palace got back on level terms as Berry put away Dougie Freedman's cross from 12 yards.

Eyre saved Spurs again with another Hall block and Freedman had a goal disallowed for offside but Spurs held out for victory.

Palace: Speroni, Butterfield, Borrowdale, Togwell, Hudson, Popovic, Dolan, R Hall, Freedman, Torghelle (Berry 46), Shipperley.

Subs not used: Wilson, Wilkinson, Smith, El-Sahali.
