Wayne Routledge
Wayne Routledge played a starring role in England Under-20s' 1-0 win over Holland, at Huddersfield Town.
Palace team-mate Gary Borrowdale also featured for the young Lions and both were on the field for the full 90 minutes.
England missed a penalty in the 14th minute but deservedly beat the Dutch with a goal from substitute Richard Chaplow of Burnley on the hour.
Tricky winger Routledge was one of the main England threats going forward. Ian Henderson headed his cross against the bar, Routledge had a couple of mazy runs and saw a free-kick cannon off a Dutch defensive wall.
Near the end, England went close to scoring another when Borrowdale's free-kick was headed wide by Pat Collins.
England: Steele (Young 45), Sankofa (Collins 67), Borrowdale, Gardner, Cahill, Raven, Routledge, Kilkenny (Mannix 74), Henderson (Guy 67), Long (Chaplow 58), Smyth (Croft 80). Sub not used: Hogg
