Steve Kember

Steve Kember slammed his Palace players after a disgraceful 5-0 mauling by Wigan - one of the worst defeats for years.

He said: "We were outfought, outrun, outplayed, out everything. There's not much I can say after a display like this.

"Our performance was woeful and not acceptable. Wigan are a good side and they work very hard but we didn't even start.

"I will be trying to bring in a couple of defenders next week. We gave away a penalty at the start of the second half - I'm not sure if it was or not.

"It was at a crucial time but it's doubtful if that would have made any difference on the game because we played so poorly.

"The talk had been about the pressure on me and I'm disappointed personally because in situations like this, you expect the players to go out and do it for you."
