The Den
The Crystal Palace and Millwall reserves fought out a 1-1 draw at the Den this afternoon.
In a quiet first half, Neil Harris shot over the bar and Wayne Routledge had an effort from the edge of the box saved by Lions keeper Willy Gueret.
There was more action in the second period as Lance Cronin saved a far-post Harris header before Millwall took the lead on the hour mark.
Denis Wise picked up Paul Sweeney's pass from the left and drilled home into the botom corner.
Harris hit the woodwork with a header and Ben May had a header blocked. But Palace responded with an equaliser though Charlie Taylor in the 78th minute.
With five minutes remaining, Palace could have snatched a late winner when Steve Thomson's shot beat the keeper but came back off the bar.
Palace: Cronin, Routledge, Borrowdale, Wilson, Hunt, Antwi, Smith R (Watson 63), Thomson, Risser, Taylor, Nabil.
Subs not used: Heeroo, Simpson.
