Crystal Palace National Sports Centre
Crystal Palace could be moving back to its original home as the athletics stadium is to be transformed into a £120m world-class venue.
According to the Observer, the out-dated facilites will be renovated so top football, athletics, swimming and boxing events can take place.
Sport England, which leases the site from Bromley Council, has decided not to give it a £25m make-over but instead completely rebuild it for £120m.
A football or rugby club would become its 'anchor tenant', making the 25,000 capacity stadium self-financing.
Discussions have taken place with Palace about the move, although homeless Fulham could also be approached.
Palace currently have eight years remaining on a 10-year lease of Selhurst Park from owner Ron Noades.
