Crystal Palace
Today's game between Norwich City and Crystal Palace at Carrow Road ended in a goalless draw. Paul Kitson made his debut for the Eagles today. He is on a month's loan at Palace.
Tony Cottee, also making his debut today but for Norwich City, had the best chance of the game after 35 minutes but he managed to blaze the ball over the bar.
Palace's best chance came from the foot of Hayden Mullins but he saw his 20-yard attempt saved by Norwich keeper Andy Marshall.
With this 0-0 draw Norwich ended their losing streak against Crystal Palace. The Norfolk club had lost the last 5 games against the South London outfit.
Post match comments
Palace boss Alan Smith was happy with the 0-0 draw against Norwich. He said: "We've come a long way since my first match in charge when we lost 3-1 at Wycombe."
"At least we look like a good, solid, professional team now and when we get a bit more experienced we might go on and win games like that."
