We are all going to miss Olise, fantastic player, and he leaves with my thanks and appreciation but... I believe this season we will have a team with good players in every position and a manager who can make that team better than the sum of its parts in and out of possession. I don't think there are many PL clubs that can say that of their team.

There are lots of good, well-coached sides with quality players all over the park, whose fans view their team the same way you view yours. We will soon see, won't we? A good measure of progress for me will be when we are one day able to go 'toe-to-toe' with the bigger clubs rather than the 'concede possession' approach. Whereas our win at Anfield, for example, was glorious and historic, let's be honest it was 'squeaky-bum' in the extreme and ultimately reliant on dreadful finishing by our opponents.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Well, as I remember, their goalie had a world class save from Mateta and their back Robertson stopped the ball on the line (again from Mateta).
