I neither refute or concur with this suggestion. I have heard Palace are looking into signing Kelechi Iheanacho from Leicester following their relegation. With only 2 years on his contract they are wanting to sell now before his value goes down to try to soften the financial hit of being in the 2d tier next season. :P

I seem to recall a poster doing this a few years back when we were looking for a new manager. He told us straight that he was going to post a fictitious post where he had heard "solid" rumours that X was going to be employed. Sure enough, the betting odds immediately shifted for X in response to his fictious plant. It was quite extraordinary. I never bet [save the odd lottery ticket] - not my thing. But this confirmed my cynicism about gambling and how odds are arrived at.
