Palace U15's are playing in the final tonight at the 'Pirelli Stadium' V Stoke City. K.O. 19.00 it is live on PalaceTV+ . . .
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

It's 0-0 HT. A fast first half Stoke a really good outfit. An opportunity, a bit of composure could win this. Not familiar with this ground, anyone know where it is. COYP

Happy to oblige. A cup final win for the U15s 3-1 FT. Stoke started the second half like express trains, but were caught on the counter, then an extraordinary strike from our own half caught their goalie off the line, then a good goal followed by a late lapse. They are all going bonkers and good luck to them, a deserved trophy.

Calling something a 'floodlit' competition is like a throw-back to the 1950s and 60s. The Football League Cup was, of course, instigated as a "midweek floodlit competition", but that went out of the window when the final switched from two legs to a Saturday afternoon at Wembley.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |
