It'll be interesting to see how we line up with Meyer but no striker. Could be: Wilf Andros Meyer Kouyate Luka McArthur Or a midfield 5 behind Zaha. We could struggle today without a proper striker to hold up the ball when we clear it from the inevitable pressure that this possession-based Chelsea side will put us under, but hopefully Roy has found a suitable way to incorporate Meyer into the team here.

Wow Roy is slow but he got there in the end. Schlupp, Ayew and Sorloth don’t deserve a start so let’s see what Max and Kouyate can do together in the first 11 for once. This is the team I would have picked as soon as Benteke went down, or maybe even before.

Strongest available starting 11. As long as we give it a go ,and don’t fall apart like Southampton are doing I will be satisfied .
