| Don't know why I've started this thread, it's just a bit of fun. Just wondering which game, like the title suggests, you've looked forward to attending all week but missed due to unforeseen circumstances. Mine is the 3-2 play-off first leg vs Sunderland. Couldn't wait to attend but I'll be frank, some dodgy food left me shi*ing through the eye of a needle and as much as I longed to go, the selhurst facilities told me I needed to stay at home. I was gutted! Anyone else have similar misfortune ahead of a huge fixture? Be careful what you eat tomorrow morning.

| I flew out to Ahgios Nikolaos the day after the first cup final so missed the reply. Some may say it was a blessing in disguise but I was gutted at the time. Mind you 2 weeks in the subsequently known as Ahgios nickers off softened the blow.

| I fell off my ladder clearing someones gutters last February, broke both my arms and was ambulanced to King's College Hospital, they dosed me up with morphine and left me in A&E for nine hours. Missed us getting done 0-4 by bottom of the table Sunderland...... I think I had a better deal ;-) Edited by eddy666666 (30 Mar 2018 7.38pm)

| Missed the playoff semi final first leg. My Mrs booked us to see Micky Flanagan , in Brighton, about a year before.

| Burnley home in 1979. Biggest crowd ever at Selhurst, promotion decider. I was 12 and my parents decider the school event that clashed was more important. I would never do that to my kids!!

| I'm missing today's game and possibly the rest of the home games. I live two trains, two tubes and then a 10 mile drive away from SP, and I am really anxious about such a journey suffering from kidney stones! No, I'm staying close to home.

I had the last ticket for that game (according to the woman at the box office). You didn't miss much if you were on the terracing - it was heaving and you just couldn't move for two hours , and brief snatches of the action was all you got. The atmosphere was something else though.
