Sams thought on fans expectations for next season:- According to this report big Sam don't expect a push for Europe. After another season in the top flight. In august beginning our 5th consecutive season in the top flight. What are your expectations for next season ? I personally be happy with our safety secured by march - early April and a much better home form. Your feelings on next season-

Once you start expecting things, that's when it can all go wrong. My hopes are for a comfortable mid table finish and maybe a cup run. People will point to the squad we have. Ignoring other teams and the fact that everyone improves their squad (or at least tries to) over the summer.

I can see no reason why wew can't become an established top half team under Big Sam. We should be knocking around with Southampton and Everton. A couple of seasons doing that would be a great base for building and attempting to get Europa League football.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

Also think last summer Steve parish and pardew said that anything less than a push for europa league place was a so called failure. I personally wouldn't want a cup run if it meant we was in a relegation battle for the last 6 to 7 games of the season. Edited by CPFC/SCCC (21 May 2017 7.20am)

40 points a cup run would be nice too.

We haven't currently offered Zaha 100k + to finish on 40 pts. Granted that the first target but with big earners like Benteke, Zaha and cabaye. A trophy or a push for europa league is a must.

10-12 wins at home (including the all important trouncing of the seaweed) 4 -5 away wins (including the all important trouncing of the seaweed) and a good cup run, and who knows a cup win will do me fine for the next 5 years while Selhurst Park is improved and expanded.

With the signings we made last summer we were expected to finish comfortably mid table and it's likely we were targeting top 10. Now with a more balanced squad we should be trying to achieve that, finishing below West Brom and Bournemouth should be seen as an underachievement this season.

You were going fine right up to where you lost sight of reality
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Too early to say for me; we need to see who stays, who goes and who we bring in. If we keep everyone including Sakho, then I can see us finishing top ten.
