Not that we aren't owed about eleventy-million breaks - Hazard's game-winning non-penalty here two tears ago being a classic example - but that was a nailed-on penalty and red.card. So, now, we're at eleventy million minus one.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

It was a penalty, but if you're a player in that position you move towards the ball. Townsend put his arms beside his body and went for the ball. To me it's a natural movement, it's not a deliberate handball. We got lucky, about time

With the speed the ball was coming at him he did amazingly well to get his arm down by his side iinto a 'natural' position and thrust his chest at it. The ref could still have given it but there was enough doubt there thanks to some excellent defensive awareness.

Finally got the benefit of a weak woeful refereeing decision. Penalty and red all day long. Massive risk by Townsend, but if he hadn't taken the risk it would of been Desmond and then who knows what happens?
