I thought he was talking through gritted teeth. Hated to say that that was a decent performance but couldn't not admit it without looking ridiculous.

His right eye started twitching - he wasn't comfortable giving us praise for our performance and agreeing we should have had a penalty. I also noticed that he doesn't like to disagree with Jermaine Jenas as he knows he has more brain cells than Shearer.
