I'm pleased someone else has picked up the fact that even though we lost we are definitely improving.

We need to remember that BFS and Sammy Lee haven't had that much time to work with the players but the signs of an improved resilience is definitely there

First green shoots of recovery for me. Playing against a top team on form. Back 5 worked well closed the gaps between centre backs. Schlupp did very well, benteke was running the channels more and slightly better hold up with people nearer to him at times. Remy looked very lively for an hour. Only negatives I thought punch and mcarthur wrong way round and brought the wrong subs on for me. Flamini should have replaced cabaye who was knackered and I would have put Townsend on instead of chungy but obviously Sam was playing for point at that stage. Get wilf back, a fitter Remy and a couple of bodies this week DCM and couple of full backs and well have a chance. We just about have enough winnable home games left for me. No signings I think were in trouble but at least looks like well go fighting. Eagles...

Its far to close for that how far were we ahead last season and so nearly got caught that can happen to a few teams this season.

Every day I find time to play FIFA 17 managing Palace in career mode. I've tried everything
4-4-2, 3-5-1, 4-5-1 playing long, wide, short, offensive, defensive etc.
I play with the same players as in the real one on a pretty tough level.
What transpires from this very accurate game is that we have good players but no way to the level of the top teams. Luck plays a big part as does team morale. There are some games we will more than likely never win.

Stick with me here the point is coming.
IN THE REAL WORLD there are dozens of factors we will never know about. Politics, spite, dislikes, player tantrums, journalists winding up certain staff, TV pundits putting the knife in etc.
It seems apparent that Allardyce has inherited a mess. He is not my favourite person, in fact on an ethical basis I utterly dislike him following the England shambles and other rather underhand things he has been involved in.

HOWEVER:

IN THE REAL WORLD We as fans must do everything we can to boost our players. We must ALL stop being so negative, get behind our team and manager whether we like him or not and continue to believe.
We were much better than we were against Swansea. We are improving, Zaha will be back soon and players like Schlupp and Remy will add depth and substance to our team. More signings are on the way for sure and ultimately we will NOT go down, but it will be close.

We didn't score though. And we still lost. And we got zero points. Not really better. And definitely not "10x better". Better is gaining more points per game than we did under the last manager. Whilst I think we didn't play badly, it was by no means better than before Allardyce came here. At least we scored goals, even if we still lost.
