Not Convinced About Statistics But...........

So Allerdyce has been brought in to put right the past misdemeanours due to his vast experience of this division over many years. His approach is keep a clean sheet and clearly all his work with the players is based around this approach. So how has he done so far compared to what went on before this season.
Pardew. Goals conceded per game 1.88
Allerdyce Goals conceded per game 2.0
Now to win matches we need to score goals so how is he doing on this front.
Pardew Goals Scored per game 1.64
Allerdyce Goals Scored per fame 0.25

Statistics never tell the whole storey but so far not convinced the approach of Allerdyce is going to be any more successful than Pardew. Not conceding will ensure we do not lose but not scoring will mean we will never win.

Sorry mate, but the sample size is not yet big enough to be statistically significant. End it there.

So when is the sample big enough when we have scored 3 goals from 10 games and still not won a game

Well scoring 4's and 3's with Pardew did not get us wins either.
I do not think people realise how bad it was under Pardew. Look at his win ratio this season , he won four games. Now factor in that 3 of those 4 wins were with a team he would not have picked, Cabaye was not available for 3 of them , (I won't mention we won the 4th when he went off as some people do not find it significant ) and you have to wonder how many wins we would have had if Pardew has played his first choice team.

Anyhow any which way we are in a bad way.

Should pardew have been sacked ? With that record definitely. Have we looked worse under fat Sam ? Yes.

We seriously need to strengthen, I'd actually replace the whole back four If we had the money.
