Wards stats are very impressive and he is very versatile. Can't believe he will make it 'cos he's not been proved at international level and to take him would be nuts. Pity, he is excellent. Surely our next England player. Just hope Palace can hold onto him. Could be worth £10m

Oh absolutely - but it makes you wonder though what a team like that would do given Englands dismal failings at major tournaments with its so called 'world class' stars

I think exactly the same way, Sashypoos. Baseball as a sport is way over-analysed, but it went through a statistical revolution a while back where GMs realised that they really did matter.

I'm hoping football goes through a similar watershed.

There are people on this site that want more of a Mike fvcking Basset: England Manager mentality though. Pulis does his homework on players statistically and that's why we are where we are.

I wish Roy would do the same.

Roy does do it statistically. Thing is the only stat that matters to owl face is the point stat of the team the players he picks play for.
