I grew up in the middle of that rivalry and I agree with what others have said. For me the ‘derby’ games were the 70’s and 80’s. It meant something then.
I cannot summon the energy to despise this over entitled bunch of hypocritical hipster fans that profess to support their club.
And it’s not just us. Doncaster fans seem to feel the same way, as do fans of many other clubs.
Unfortunately this BHA epitomises the modern day, snowflake society, incarnation of a football club.
I think theyve lost their soul, unforunately, and the old Brighton has long gone. This feels to me, more like a franchise, an MK Dons, if you will. I’m sure there are some of the old fans lurking there, somewhere.
Shame, really, as go back a few years and there were very few proper footie fans who weren’t rooting for them to survive. Now? Who cares?

I guess it can be summed up that the rivalry still exists but whereas in the 70's and 80's it was meet ups and punch ups but today it's all social media slagging off.
I confess that growing up in Norwood/Streatham/Norbury I never met a Brighton fan and don't remember any other team being bothered about them.
