| We have our strongest squad ever that did not come cheap. All clubs need to balance books and stay within league regulations regarding spending.

I was about to say that too. Financially if we're already on shaky ground it'd be disasterous if we went down this year. The Fulham result hasn't done us any harm that's for sure.

| A guy I know, who claims to have some inside info on the finances recently told me that there are currently six Premier League clubs who are on the brink of collapse if they are relegated in the next 5 seasons. Two are Wolves and Bournemouth, he didn’t give me the others. Palace are not one. It could be BS, just passing on what I was told from a reliable source.

Our net debt in the 2017 accounts was about 2.5 million.

That begs the question why would he give wolves and bournemouth, but not the other four, while at the same time excluding palace? Makes no sense...

| In the now unlikely event of relegation, we have massive asset value in our players let alone parachute payments. The fund for the new stand is unclear but it was stated the Americans would fund it albeit no doubt on an attractive loan.

| How Bournemouth continue to spend as they do is beyond me. Even with TV money, with their gates it just can't be sustainable.

| I seem to remember one of the major things SP said when he took over Palace is that he would make sure we lived within our means and not `gamble` with the clubs future as others have done before him, something that seemed core to him at the time and ive seen nothing really that seems to contradict that. given we have not really sold big players suggests to me the last few windows are of us being more prudent than desperate with money in order to keep things balanced and level. If we were in real problems we would have been a little more willing to listen to offers for our biggest assets like Zaha. So all in all I think we are in safe hands financially and are just being prudent. suspect the finacial trouble is like a gossip or whisper that is taking a life of its own and feeding itself.

Looking at this season and the previous 2 seasons, Bournemouth's net spend is only £10 Mill more than our net spend.I don't know how the respective wage bills compare. The Russian Max Demin has recently acquired all the remaining shares through his company 'AFCB Enterprises Ltd' so is now a 100% shareholder. He has been owner since November 2011.
