I don't call it "support" to refer to your supposed club's manager as "scum" I do realise that a forum is for the expression of opinions but the opinions should fall within the forum's rules which include:- "We do not tolerate abusive, malicious, personal attacks on the message boards. You will be banned if you persist in this behaviour." I can't think of anything more abusive than continually referring to the manager as scum

There were hundreds of comments about Pardew being a t***, w***er, asshole on here the past few weeks, but "scum" is too offensive, ok. Fair enough, how about I call him "crooked" from now on.

Great appointment and well done SP for moving so quickly before one of our relegation rivals snapped him up. Pards can have no complaints, any other manager with that record would have lost their job much earlier

Good solid appointment. People are either naive or stupid if they think anyone is whiter than white in football. Hes not Marlon King or Chad Evans, don't remember people taking a moral stance when Pulis was appointed. He was a bit stupid end of, sad to see pards go but it wasn't too be. Onwards and upwards and in SP I trust. COYP.

Sam wouldn't have been my first choice, but if he gets us winning games then I'll be happy. I didn't think I'd ever like Warnock but he grew on me with his cheeky comments and the attachment he gained for the club. If all goes well I could see a bond growing between manager and club as we are on the ends of different lifelines and that could pull us together. On the other hand if the results don't come I expect the response to be even more vile than some of the words thrown at Pardew over the last six months. Welcome aboard Mr Allardyce
