Meh, had a decent chance against a weakened City team but going forward, they're still several classes above us.

Luka has been disappointing this season and did not improve today. Worrying.

Citeh are obviously a good team, but the amount of respect and negative tactics we play against the so called "big teams" is shocking. It's as if RH has a pre-arranged agreement in his mind and cannot deviate from it.

Agreed, he had a decent game today.

But for a couple of excellent saves by Ederson it could have been 2-2.

That being said, it was a fair result given the game overall.

Routine win for them. Looked fairly conservative in their attacks and looked like they had a few more gears if needed. Goalie made some good saves when required. Unfortunately we couldn't get at them after the quick 2 goals but we did not take a pasting. COYP !!

After the two quick goals - and Manc running rings round us for most the game - a clean sheet in second half was more than expected
0-2 ended as a fair result

That the first of the top five we have to play in next month !

Possibly not, he was just forced back early from the last one. Suspect he was subbed to prevent anything further happening to him.

Suspect Roy will be reasonably content to keep it down to 2-0.
The disappointment for me is that they were without centre halves and this was a game for us to try an aerial bombardment and set pieces.
Also , we seemed to lose a lot of tackles against a not particularly physical City.
Luka was again the worst of the three midfielders and needs to up his game.

Other than Liverpool most teams would probably take 2-0 against city tbf. That's just the difference in class of those two teams atm. Gave it a go in the last 15 and the players all put in a shift. If you feel entitled to more then maybe Palace are not the team for you.

Shame Benteke's first touch didn't quite go in. On to the Arsenal game next week where I hope we'll give them a good run for their money.
