| My point exactly as it has been during nearly ever season apart from the 3rd in the old 1st Div. Palace have skated on thin ice of the trap door to div 2/championship league for ever and a day. Its true that the squad is as good as we have had over the years apart from the Bright n Wright years that squad would mulla this lot because they know how score goals. c Originally posted by Willo
Far too close to the relegation zone to be confident of surviving the drop. There could well be many twists and turns and some unexpected results which could work against us.Very much touch and go.

| I agree we are a mere two wins from mid table I beleive Its is because are strikers all good quality players have been unlucky. Roy is right we have a group who have a team ethic, yes we have star in Wilf but even he isn't a pouting primadona.(see Ozil) To be a Palace fan is to tightrope walk across the trap door of religation with aplomb not in whinging handwring fear IMO.Don't you agree. | Getting Batshuyai literally last minute on a super deal was a major result. Barring extremes ( injuries health etc) we will continue to break into the group above. The trick will be persuading Chelsea to let us have Bats for another season.

| For those still a little nervous you can get 75/1 with Paddy on Palace to be relegated

| From our next 3 matches, i would expect 6 points, love 7 and be over the moon with 9. That would effectively have us safe (37 or 39) with a QF to enjoy, full strength. However, i am always a pessimist and it can easily turn sour.

Two more wins and 3 or 4 draws will be enough for survival

Man Ure will probably do us, stick my neck out and say a win against Burnley, draw with the Weed and beat the Udders. 7 points from next 4 would be great.

| With both Huddersfield and Fulham looking like they’ll have incredibly low points, it could mean the 3rd from bottom may have 40 points. However, we certainly look better than many and are now close to mid table. Doubt we’ll get anything on Wednesday but should have enough to be safe.
