A denier, eh? I can think of other more serious things that happened between 1939-45 in Eastern Europe that also can't be actually proved. Those moaning survivors should also put up or shut up.
I don't know about denying, that's not what I've said. I just don't accept what someones told me as factual. I require more than opinion.....I've no doubt there is some truth in it...I've seen stuff happen in security, right and wrong is often very grey in some situations.
What debatable events in wartime Eastern Europe are you referring to?

You have two independent police officers who live 300 miles apart and don't know each other saying the same thing. If it were a court of law I think that would be enough, don't you?

Right that's it! I'm going to write to the lead singer of Echo and the Bunnymen.

Re:Eastern Europe - David Irving et al.
No not really. The strikes are well known and unless they are remembering a specific definable event, then no.
It could be passed off as dislike or disagreement between forces.....Finger pointing with no proof isn't going to go anywhere in a court worth its salt.
I'm not exactly sure what David Irving disputes? I thought it was numbers with him and responsibility down the chain of command.
In terms of the 'accepted' narrative I think his take has been ignored by most in the historical community....From what little I know I regard his views on responsibility as unrealistic...But I don't know enough about his writings to be honest.

But it wouldn't be finger pointing. It would be witness testimony. And where there are two independent ones in a situation like that I would feel fairly confident the prosecution would be able to call up quite a few more to confirm.
Then the jury would decide. You would obviously be Henry Fonda

Terrible shame. A great Prime Minister, and her death has certainly shown the true colours of a number of people on here. Celebrating the death of a very unwell old lady - unbelievable.
I have to agree.....there are some people on here that talk out their backsides and do NOT really know how much maggie did for this country and how she pulled us back from the brink when we were going down the pan due to strikes and nationalised companies that were dragging us down. Many on here that are old enough to have lived through the period she was Prime Minister will know that the unions had virtually taken over the mad house But she took them to task and beat them. Arthur Scargill was on the picket lines with the miners making them attack police and everyone that was not on their side...I know because I was backing the police with fellow marines on the picket lines. The miners got sucked into a situation that they did not really understand but followed that idiot Scargill who incidently got shunned by the unions some years ago due to lining his pockets and bumming accomodation costs through his union funds. He was a total waste of space and did more harm than good. At the time of the strikes coal was going out of fashion anyway due to health worries. in fact the "Green movement" started at that time and was the start of all the "Save the Planet brigade". A lot of people on here do not really know just how much good maggie did for this country but instead harp on the things she did wrong...NO-ONE is perfect are they? I would like to think that people on here who are not Conservative would show some respect for her just as Red Ed did yesterday instead of following like sheep and Slagging her off and having street parties.....its a sad thing for our country when people stoop that low and show their barbaric ways. I have seensome really bad threads on the Holmsdale but this takes the biscuit!!!

Bloody hell, Thatcher has even managed to expunge Morg from the record books. Is it because she's not cold yet? (Though she was when she was alive)

Henry Fonda?....I quite like the sound of that.
Don't get me wrong, if there is actual proof against a specific officer(s) I would support a prosecution. I don't support 'bent' coppers.
