However a better, fitter squad, home advantage and a manager who wants to win should see us past the hangers of monkeys.

Hartlepool have today announced the signing of forward Marcus Carver from Southport.He has scored 12 goals for them this season.I really do not know if he is cup-tied.

Seeing as im bored, i had a look, he has scored 5 goals in 4 FA Cup matches, all qualifying games FAQ2/Q2R 1 goal in each, FAQ3 1 goal, FAQ4 2 goals. Not sure whether qualifying games means a player is cup-tied tho?

My understanding,which could of course be hogwash, is that a player is cup-tied for the length of the tournament and as qualifying rounds are parts of the tournament,a player who plays in these rounds cannot play for another club in the cup that season.
