should never have been sacked & shouldav been backed like sam was and we wouldav been fine. £10m net spend in the summer was never enough for a club of our size. but...we are where we are and were stuck in a cycle of no long term manager again. oh well

How about 15 games without a win, shocking defensive record, in the bottom 3 when he was sacked and signed players such as Jordon Mutch and Chung Yong Lee? please explain how he was s***, kept us up every season, took us to a cup final and created a very, very good squad on what was effectivly a meagre budget in PL terms. FFS we're not going back over all this again are we? Twelve months, six wins in PL. Fine with the squad he inherited but rapid decline as soon as he had a team he had put together himself. Consistently poor selections, tactics, game management and substitutions. Sold key players and failed to replace them. Fitness, confidence and psychology issues took Allardyce three months to repair after his departure. Same as what happened at Newcastle. Toilet.

I will however observe that at no point at any of his clubs did Pardew ever sign anyone like Sakho. Or Milivojevic, for that matter. He did however get rid of Jedinak.

Pardew didn't sign anyone in his many years at Newcastle as there was someone else there who scouted and signed players which leads me to wonder whether it was actually him who scouted and signed Mutch and Lee or someone further up the food chain who is known to like interfering in the footballing side of things. Likewise was it actually Pardew who was responsible for selling Jedinak and Murray or our chairman?
