Getting fed up of having to go through pages of pathetic insults on here that have nothing to do with Palace. Isn't it the mods job to do something about this?

I do really think we should stop all these unkind words and names about our new manager. It is totally unreasonable to expect an instant fix bearing in mind the deep routed and ingrained damage that AP did over 12 months turning a good performing team at the end 2015 (31 points from 19 games) to one that only produced 11 points in the second half of the season and again in the first half of this current season. The team left by AP was also unfit had no confidence and was loaded with generally second quality new players many of whom had sick notes when they arrived. We should all now get collectively behind the Manager and the team and hope and pray that they can get us out of this terrible situation.

Maybe Allardyce has realised that he has taken on a much more difficult job than he anticipated.He must have been shaken to the core by the defeat to Swansea with realisation setting in that he was in huge 'Battle' to avoid the drop.

Dear Willo, I really do think Sam knew this was a very difficult job, what he may not have anticipated was just how difficult it was get players to come to the club in this current window or the cost inflation that has happened for those players since the last window in January 2016 which he was involved in whilst at Sunderland. The other area that may have caught everyone out is just unfit some of the players are and the lack of belief and confidence all of which will take more than 4/5 weeks as some expect before matters are sorted. As Alan has pointed out some players need to improve their individual performances and hopefully if they do that then things will start to get better. I agree with Alan assessment that there are signs of better things to come and the defensive performance against Everton was much better than it has been for a long while and what we need now to work out is how to get the ball from a defence situation forward in a more threatening way. Hopefully things will get better soon!
