Well according to you being a great player entitles you to be a " great manager " from the list above theres at least 5 players in there that were average at best ~ Kendall , Ferguson , Jack Charlton , etc etc ~ from your way of thinking why wasn't Bobby Charlton a great manager or George Best ??? ~ FDB was a good player in a great Barcelona team ~ He is NOT and will never be a GREAT manager ~ and he will take us down if he stays in charge

Sr Bobby Robson Sir Alf Ramsey Jurgen Klinnsman Martin O'Neill Gareth Southgate Chris Coleman Graham Taylor Apart from Graham Taylor all the others were Interationals who went on to, like GT, to manage their International teams. Without resorting to Google I think a couple of Brazilian Intls went on to manage their country. I have thought of a few more players who went on to become managers.

Sr Bobby Robson
Sir Alf Ramsey
Jurgen Klinnsman
Martin O'Neill
Gareth Southgate
Chris Coleman
Graham Taylor

Apart from Graham Taylor all the others were Interationals who went on to, like GT, to manage their International teams. Without resorting to Google I think a couple of Brazilian Intls went on to manage their country.

It's also true that some Great players did not make good managers including Sir Bobby Charlton and Sir Bobby Moore. George Best was never a manager anyway.
