If they do that more often, players dive less (because it's a double chance - if I stay up I may score OR I may get the penalty). BBC make a big deal out of it because it may impact the title race, but it's far more important in reality at the other end of the table (title winners and runners up is just an honour, relegation is a real and massive impact on a club)

Shearer always spouts sh1t as we all know especially when it comes to Palace and more so after Steve Parish put him in the picture about our Wilf. He will always be bias when it comes to our club hence the reason I treat all he sys with the contempt it deserves. He was always mouthy as a player.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Erudition about the level of Fletcher from Porridge but obviously with obnoxious piggery instead of comic genius. I dislike Shearer with a passion. I cannot watch/listen to him on TV. I long for the impartial and insightful pundits of yesteryear, who were not grinding axes. Brian Moore Of the 'new generation' I think Robbie Savage is rather good.

Calling for an apology is a fruitless waste of time but I agree with the other poster upthread. It's totally unprofessional for him to be swearing like that about another club on his twitter when he's a paid pundit on a taxpayer funded channel. Makes him look stupid.
