If Newcastle are willing to pay anywhere near what we paid for him then I would be more than happy for him to go. Bar one game against stoke city he has looked lazy, disinterested and well... s*** to be honest. Hasn't worked out and he really wouldn't be missed.... As long as we get another winger in obviously.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

I don't think there has been any comments by anyone on Townsend having a bad attitude at Palace however it certainly hasn't worked out for him. He has commented that 'the left wing at Newcastle is a great place to be' so one wonders why he left the bloody North in the first place? To enhance his reputation, maintain his England place? Who knows or even cares. Looks like a loan till the end of the season and I bet he will soon be flying up and down that left wing giving Rafa & Fat Ashley his all, chucking in crosses galore, having the odd shot (on target as well!) maybe even tracking back and attempting the odd tackle? (maybe that's going to far) Very disappointed and frustrated with Townsend as he is a gifted footballer who just doesn't seem to be bothered with us in SE25.

No bad attitude .... it just hasn't worked out for him or for us. Let the guy go in peace because there's plenty of other stuff to be concerned about at the moment. Big Sam is working through it though.

This move/loan could be breaking down. Toon possibly looking at Swansea's Modou Barrow as a possible loan instead as he is deemed surplus to requirements following the arrival of Luciano Narsingh from PSV. Paul Clement hasn't played him or put him on the bench. Maybe Palace being to hard on the deal/terms over Townsend with Ashley?

Don't want townsend to leave so hopefully it is breaking down can't see why we would want to let him go back to Newcastle anyway we've only brought him in the summer needs time to get used to the systems we play

Surely his job is virtually the same whichever club he plays for and at the moment he aint doing jack s***! But it still costs around £300,000 a month.

All players are struggling to follow his system not just Townsend.
