Steve Coppell was one of if not THE greatest ever Palace manager. Anyone who was around during any of his spells in charge would agree he hold a very special place in the hearts of all us fans. However, he has zero epxerience of todays modern Premiership football (is very different to the last time he was managing Reading in the top flight) and he is also a coach that needs time to mould and build his team, always has. That is something you just dont get in top level football anymore. Ask Frank de Boer!

| Name the new stand after him, make him Club President and give him a job for life in an ambassadorial role. He was the heartbeat of our club for a very long time, and his achievements in vastly different circumstances during each spell should never be underestimated.
