| Might close, but Ambrose vs United still wins it for me over Townsend.

Nicky Rizzo Vs Norwich That goal has really got me scratching my head. I was sitting then (as now) in the Whitehorse stand, and my recollection is that a defender smashed a clearance straight into Rizzo's torso. He was on the edge of the penalty area, but the ball hit him with such force and at such close range that it flew back into the net. Certainly not an own goal, but hardly down to Rizzo. And because it went into the top corner, it looked like a fantastic goal. It happened so quickly that when a pal, sitting in the Holmesdale, asked me afterwards to describe the goal, I couldn't tell him. Can anyone clear up the mystery? Or am I just completely wrong?

| What about these two? must both be up there. Sorry for sh@t quality of footage. Salako against Forest (our second goal) Staunton against Tranmere (our second goal) (this was the goal I couldn't think of in a previous post)

Hit the target and you score. Townsend OTOH not only hit the target from 30 yards on the volley but beat Ederson and gave him no chance whatsoever.

| A Dougie half-volley from 30 yards out in a win at Grimsby. It was an absolute fizzer with hardly any back-lift. No one saw the ball from the time it left his foot to the time the stunned Mariners’ keeper was picking it out of the back of the net. In Dougie we trust(ed).
