Interesting point but should a chairman whose main involvement in the club's activities comes in the closed season, especially when we've just lost our manager, take his holiday in that period or wait until the season starts and he has less involvement on a day to day basis.

Seeing what has happened over the weekend - I think we can say we missed a bullet there. Had we managed to get him last summer he'd have wanted off at the first opportunity.
