We spent way too much on one player in the summer, and did not strengthen the depth of the squad. If anything, the squad as a whole got worse. Edited by NickinOX (21 Jan 2017 6.49pm)

Pardew backers are so hilarious. As if we'd be any better under that f***ing fraud. Sam is having to teach our lot how to defend for 90 mins again and trying to get some kind of confidence in them again after P45dew left them as a bunch of quivering melts who drop a log when they go behind

Schlup, Remy, Dann all did well, but too many championship standard players are getting found out. Hennessy made some important saves but a lack of creativity through the middle meant we could not break them down. Much better effort all round so some reasons to be hopeful.
