Following being robbed at Goodison by inept officials I'm hoping for some karma. However that doesn't exist and we can't defend so I can't help but think we will lose 2-0

7-6 win for Palace. 6-0 down at half time thanks to 6 goals from Lukaku who is hailed as the best striker the world has ever seen. However, after the introduction of Schlupp and Lee at half time we suddenly look on fire. On the 46th minute Lukaku shoulder barges Lee in the box to get sent off. CYL himself gets to take the penalty, neatly side footing it under the keeper. Lovely consolation goal but another 44 minutes of pressure allow Lee to score another 5. 6 all and the Palace fans sing his name and whistle for the end of the game as the 4th official holds up a board that says 9 minutes of added time. Typical, Palace in danger of being robbed of a magnificent point thanks to shoddy refereeing. Suddenly pressure from Everton that leads to multiple corners for them and finally a goal kick. Wayne hoofs it full pelt up the field to clear the danger. An Everton centre back goes to cooly head it back to his keeper but it floats up and over and Palace finish the game 7-6 winners. Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |
