Ward gets drawn into the centre far too often once we are out of shape. If I was ever looking to score goals against Palace I would say play diagonal balls to the left side of the box. There is so much space in that area although to be fair it is not helped by right midfield not taking the runner who fills the abyss that opens up.

At last, an unexpected Palace performance that didn't make me cringe. Thoughts:

1. Why didn't we play like this against Burnley?
2. Ayew is acting like an extremely angry man and runs in circles with the ball until he loses it.
3. Sad that Joel Ward is not up to it anymore
4. Our captain is a liability, always getting booked, failing to organise his line, preference for sideways pass.
5. Sakho atoned for his error at Leicester, played well with good passes forward, as did Scott Dann.
6. RLC showed what a great midfielder he is, sublime pass to Abraham. He would be immense for us again.
7. Reluctant to blame Guaita but his kicking is poor
and escapes the criticism that Hennessey always (and unjustly) attracts.
8. Full marks for all round effort but lack of skill is woeful.

I would assume so, they have been saying for a couple of games now he was one short of a suspension.

..If they could consistently pass then they'd be playing for Chelsea lol
