If Gallagher and Hughes play, we'll draw at worst with reasonable chance of a win. Without one or the other I think we will lose.

It's a tough game, I expect them to win. Don't like it, but there you go. Still, they won't thrash us.

Always goals in this one at both ends - see another 2-2 on the horizon. Gallagher likely out will be a miss but there again they are short too - especially at the back.

If Guaita plays as bad as he did against a very poor Norwich team we will lose 4 - 0 .

Tompkins in, Anderson injured. Thus... Reduced chance conceding set piece. Increased chance conceding to the press as JT gets caught in possession trying to play his way out.

Crystal Palace are waiting on the results of routine PCR tests but are set to have Joachim Andersen fit for the visit of West Ham on New Year’s Day. The Danish defender was withdrawn late on during Tuesday’s win over Norwich but assistant Osian Roberts revealed the centre-back was fine having only recently returned from a hamstring injury. Wilfried Zaha is also expected to play after suspension but James McArthur (hamstring) is still sidelined while uncertainty remains over Nathaniel Clyne, Conor Gallagher, Michael Olise and Ebere Eze, who all missed the last match amid talk of unnamed members in the squad contracting Covid-19. Seems like Anderson is available to play plus a few others…

No problems if Tomkins comes in for Andersen. Always worth playing a man against his old employer. Point to prove and all that. Kouyate too.

Moyes is old school and I can see us getting bullied.

West Ham are on fire and won't miss the chances we gave Norwich. Anything can happen and Palace are always full of surprises but I predict a 1 - 4 loss. Edited by Oddball2021 (01 Jan 2022 8.37am)
