Hodgson has transformed Sako and considerably improved Kelly and Ward. De Boer's approach to these players was to prod them in the chest and say something like "Ypu're s***e; f*** off". He could pick Bergkamp out from 60 yards but he couldn't pick Milivojevic out of an identity parade. So my comment was how can he possibly be qualified to advise for example Zaha?
