I’m Pardew’s biggest fan and still gutted we got rid. Thought we played some great stuff under him. But.... to say he wasn’t given enough time is shear nonsense. I wish him well.

Of course, none of us will know until the whistle goes on Saturday morning, but I think you're underestimating Pardew's Trumpian ego, and that he will want not only to record a win for his new team, but also to put one over on the team that didn't give him enough time (according to him).

I don't think he was as bad as people made out and we need to make sure we don't get ahead of ourselves. Given that it's his first game this is possibly the worst time to play them.

Pardew got a net spend of £8m in the summer after the cup final. Then he was told by Parish to play expansive football. We also didn't replace the quality of Bolasie, we bought in players inferior to him. Parish should have paid Bolasie the big wages and Pards would still be here.
