There's plenty of people on here who could see Frank De Bour was a huge mistake. Many of them were having discussions about if he could turn it round or if we should sack him so soon. You weren't slaughtered for that opinion. You were slaughtered for the frequent poor quality threads you started. I had some sympathy for you as I thought you were just a passionate and angry fan, although it's difficult to maintain. Good points you made were ignored as they got lost in your ranting. You weren't slaughtered for that opinion. You were slaughtered for the frequent poor quality threads you started. I had some sympathy for you as I thought you were just a passionate and angry fan, although it's difficult to maintain. Good points you made were ignored as they got lost in your ranting.

I still don't and probably never will after 4 league games. If you are going to spend nearly two months identifying and appointing someone, you get behind them and give them a chance. 4 games is not a chance. Its s***ting your pants, hiding behind the bloke and using him as a scape goat and deflecting the blame. Hodgson will do no better than FdB would have done. Worse in my opinion over a season. We will never know of course.

What we do know is that Hodgson has had no pre-season to work with players, he inherits a team that has suffered 4 successive defeats with no goals scored and has been appointed only a few days before his first match in charge.Then of course follows Man C,Man Utd and Chelsea so a really challenging start for him.Furthermore he cannot sign any players until January.

Supporters, pundits etc might be aghast at a manager being sacked after 4 games but as I have said before no manager loses his job after 4 games on results alone.
