why did we let Fraizer Campbell go? Originally posted by BelfastEagle

So if he's back before xmas he will have done well. Even then with such a serious injury he may have lost pace. Although I like him he really is more of a liability.

He is a decent player; his injury record for previous clubs wasn't awful. The niggling injuries for us before this major one have made him seem, in hindsight, not such a great signing. However, hindsight is a wonderful thing! A fit Wickham is a perfectly good understudy to Benteke. I appreciate that 'fit', though, may be easier said than done. I think we need to get a good striker in on loan for now, and take our time with Wickham to make him 100% fit before returning him to the team. When fit he should make the bench every game.

So frustrating, he looked brilliant just before his injury, coming on as sub scoring a couple of great goals , he looked the business!

If true I'd have thought that's why to reduce the wage bill. Squad players shouldn't be earning money like that. Obviously I repeat no idea if that's true, would imagine it's not!

Get rid of now as only taking up a squad number in the 25 However who will take an injured player on a few quid that cost us loads 😕 Originally posted by djcpfc

Accept scoring the goal that sent us to Wembley, and the banger against Man City. He's a good player. I hope he returns. Yes he's been out with injuries, but I wouldn't kick him out just yet. I think he's as good if not a bit better running at goal with the ball at his feet than Big Ben. He offers something different. Maybe a loan around Christmas might be in order to get him game time.

Even on a free he was better moving on. A decent youth player can make a squad player too. Still shall thank him for the only goal he scored last season as that was potentially a big one. Originally posted by Rudi Hedman
