Which match was the AJ dive celebration?

I have been thinking about what one of the commentators said during the Watford game, which I feel is very interesting and true. This that players like Zaha rely on speed, and frequent changes of direction, to put defenders under pressure. That being so any touch on him, legal or illegal, is likely to see him going to ground. He is often turning and off balance so it is only going to require a touch and down he will go. Referees have a difficult job in determining whether the touch is a foul or not, but dives they are not and many WILL be fouls. Not deliberate but nevertheless fouls. Mistimed tackles are still fouls and Wilf draws a lot of mistimed tackles. I think we need to educate the press, the authorities and the referees on this. If someone could compile a selection of video clips, demonstrating this, set out the arguments and post it here and to journalists, the FA and the referees organisation maybe Wilf will be treated better in future.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Where is that Canadian geezer who put together the 200-hour montage of Puncheon's every failing at Stoke? He's the nutjob* for this job. *meant affectionately...I think he accepted it was a quirky pastime

He will not get another penalty. I remember Birmingham City conceding 2 penalties, one of which was nothing to do with AJ, and Steve Bruce complaining afterwards about how many times Johnson went to ground in the box. He was probably right though. I don't consider Zaha anything like that, I think he's actually pretty unfortunate these days. Steve Bruce is a c***. Lee Hendrie shagged his daughter. Steve Bruce confronted him about it. Lee Hendrie punched him in the face. Wilf, that's how you should handle these situations. True story.

If I remember the Laws correctly, lamping someone during a football match results in being sent off and doing it afterwards results in a retrospective ban and a fine.

Yes but, Wilf still gets clattered by defendants determined to stop him and willing to gamble on getting a yellow. Too often they foul him and no yellow. Some of the yellow fouls have been borderline red too. Edited by peterg (31 Mar 2017 12.17pm)

Chelsea would have to disembowel Wilf before Palace got a penalty

Yes Bruce was the first to comment on Andrew. There's been a re-writing of history with Wilf with penalties. The other week I heard the commentators referring to wilf winning some "contentious" decisions vs Watford over the years. Errm no! all the pens he's won have been clear fouls. I think Watford have played a huge part in trying to label him as a diver.

Agreed the play off final penalty and the penalty at Vicarage Road were both Stonewall.
