Start of the season, I thought we did some good business apart from selling Gayle. On paper, we shouldve had a better starting 11 than seasons before, but it just hasn't happened. Pardew can be a good/crap manager, but he will was always going to be judged on his transfer dealings. Like I said, I was quite happy with the business we did but it didnt work out.
I like the names we're being linked to now. I would take Evra, Jenks and Van Arnholt and sell Townsend and the Benteke in the summer.
Whilst I'm not a huge fan of Big Sam, he does have an extensive knowledge of foreign players that our board dont seem to have yet.

I would be happy for Townsend to leave but only if they pay us what we paid them.

Maybe the original deal included staggered payments instead of a full settlement, if that's the case hopefully they just pay back paid funds but sod losing 3/5 million

Let Geordies have Dross Townsend back but only in a swap deal for Dwight Gayle who we should never had sold in the first place. If not then they pay the full price we paid no discount. Bet we give him away cheapply as is our way.
