Why did Pardew take so long to actually sign his new contract . I cannot remember when it was first offered to him , but I seem to recall a long delay in him actually signing as it was discussed that it should be withdrawn on here. What was he doing ? Was he waiting for a better offer from elsewhere, or did he require more money to show loyalty?

I am loyal to CPFC and have been since as long as I knew anything about supporting a football club - so over 50 years - unwavering! Loyalty to Alan Pardew - why? He draws a huge salary and is paid to do a job which he has done very badly for nearly a year with no sign of change - even a win tomorrow can't disguise that fact. If you had a Builder doing shoddy work at your house week after week would you still be loyal to him and pay him for that shoddy work week after week - no you would not! I want CPFC to do well and they will do so after Pardew and that moment can't come soon enough for this poster!

Also re Gerrard, its not as if he was at a small club - yes he could have won more if he moved but real loyalty is more like the other example, Le Tissier, and even that is probably more down to comfort and security.

The fact is is that this is the best we've ever been, and to throw away this opportunity for someone who is an arrogant w***er. I was supporting Pardew until I went and witnessed that catastrophe at the Liberty Stadium. The players clearly don't listen to Pardew, as they're all competent players.

Starting with the Norwich season opener for 2015/2016 thru to last Saturday against Swansea the Palace stats are as follows taking into account ALL games against Premier League opposition only. P47 W14 D8 L25. So if you use the same scoring system as the PL that makes a total of 50 pts. Not brilliant but then again more points gained than games played which is not relegation form either. I was pilloried on here not so long ago when I stated that Pardew would be given time to revive our fortunes and that he would be in situ for Swansea and beyond even if we lost the 'Swans' game.I happen to believe he will still be in charge for Hull even if we suffer a defeat tomorrow.
