You could give Roy Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar as a front three and he’d still play 4-4-2. For a manager who considers himself on par with Sir Alex he is far too rigid: If you don’t have the players for 4-4-2 adapt the system or build it round someone like Eze. At the moment his talents are being sacrificed for “the system” and the “the system” ain’t working.

Why on Earth does Luka and Jairo keep running backwards in line with defence to receive a 2 yard pass?? Leaving nobody in the midfield therefore having no option but to whack it long to nothing. Its brain dead and they've been doing it for over a year now. That seems half the problem to me and why we never seem to have a midfield going forward. Same as the wingers, instead of making forward runs when Clyne or van aanholt have the ball they run back towards them to again receive a pointless 2 yard pass and then ending up in a cul de sac with nowhere to go or anything to pass to. Surely someone in that dug out can see something.
