The country is becoming a joke with its priorities and is flushing itself down the toilet. Unsurprisingly it doesn’t give a fook about its own but is ready to throw people under a bus when some demand it because they haven’t the intelligence to do anything actually funny.

Just don’t get me started on transcendental idealism.

I am 51. Why is the current generation, who weren’t affected by the war and Hitler etc in any discernible way, bothered by this, when my Dads generation - who fought, lost friends, family etc, so were significantly affected - couldn’t give a flying f**k?

We get all upset about Brexiteers citing the war “as it’s ancient history” yet when someone does a gesture like this (albeit a poor attempt at humour) we blow it out of all proportion and suddenly remember the war etc as though it was yesterday.

It’s proper bollox, this is. When I was a kid we did this all of the time in the playground. We weren’t facists - we were taking the p1ss.
