I'm beginning to suspect Wilf's vision may be below average. His skills are so good that he can beat players easily, but he seldom finds a teammate when he needs to, before or after a run. This may also explain why his shooting isn't great: he doesn't know or "see" precisely where he is on the field.

What I mean by space is he regularly has 3 players around him - if nothing else that opens up space for others. That is worth a lot.

Yeah that Bobby Charlton is doing nothing against the Germans take him off. I think today Wilf came up against a very good defender give that guy some credit for shutting him out for most the game.
