By associating themselves with football clubs, which they have made artificially successful thanks to their wealth, both have made a significant difference to how they are likely to be perceived. By the public and by authorities. Parish likes to have a media presence and chat s***. But he's a relative pauper and his PR work doesn't move the needle for him. he just likes it.

For goodness sake get rational. I can hardly believe that you genuinely think that part of the reason for our relatively unsuccessful history is the attitude of some of our fans.

I imagine that, like me and most real Palace fans, you enjoy being in the top division but will continue supporting the club if or when we suffer a decline. Perhaps I'm wrong (it's happened before).

sorry, but Croydon has all this already - we are not in the centre of anything. A hotel would be a disaster - have you seen the Crystal Palace hotel in Crystal Palace - run down and full of council temporary housing families. Used to be a great hotel 30 or so years ago.
